- Partnering with eco-friendly accommodations that prioritize wildlife conservation.
- Community clean-up and providing waste disposal facilities in remote areas to preserve the environment.
How to be a Sustainable Traveller on Safari
We design our safari itineraries with sustainability in mind, which means you get to spend more time closer to nature, enjoying the beauty of Tanzania. The experience is more rewarding than the disconnected travel of rushing through the national parks.
Legacy Exchange Outfitters upholds sustainable tourism by following the five pillars of sustainability.
Tips for Responsible Travel
- Respect local culture: Tanzanian culture is diverse and unique, with over 120 different tribes and languages!, We emphasize learning about a culture and taking time to talk to local people over taking photos and driving away.
- Support the local economy: when possible, we encourage guests to buy local products and support local businesses. This helps to create sustainable jobs and economic opportunities throughout Tanzania
- Maintain eco-friendly practices: we minimize waste, choose sustainable options and work with partners that do the same. We love Tanzania, so we make choices to protect it and conserve its beauty for future generations.
- Engage in responsible tourism: Tanzania is known for its incredible wildlife, so we only offer photographic safaris, never hunting trips. We promote protecting animals in their natural habitat, we do not offer petting zoo experiences.
- Give back: cultural exchange and volunteering are some of the ways guests can have a more enriching experience in Tanzania. We customize each opportunity based on your education and skills. Ask us how you can have a life-changing trip with Legacy Exchange Outfitters.

Our Reviews
Legacy Exchange Outfitters offers more than just a vacation. Eugene and his team work hard to provide their guests with a remarkable experience. However, sightseeing wild animals in their natural habitat is only part of the adventure.
